New Delhi: In the budget, it has been announced to run 400 new Vande Bharat trains in 3 years. According to Northern Railway sources, work on building coaches and operating cars for the Vande Bharat train is in full swing. Some trains will start running in Delhi this year. The Delhi division is expected to get the largest share of Vande Bharat trains. Due to which the train passengers going to and from Delhi will benefit a lot.
According to officials, the new rack of Vande Bharat train will start running as soon as it arrives. It is expected to start from Delhi. At present Vande Bharat train is being run from Delhi to Katra and Benaras. If the delivery of new coaches starts on time, Vande Bharat trains will start running on 4-5 new routes this year. Physical exercise is underway for this. Initially it is likely to run on routes from Delhi to Dehradun, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Bhopal, Lucknow, Kanpur, Jaipur. Since Shatabdi trains are already operating on this route and now only Shatabdi trains are being replaced by Vande Bharat trains. In such a scenario, it is likely that the new Vande Bharat trains will run on this route first.
According to sources, Railways is preparing to bring sleeper coaches to Vande India soon. Routes that have the necessary infrastructure to increase speed will allow trains to run at higher speeds on the route and speed tests have been carried out from 130 to 150 kmph. Currently, the Shatabdi train takes 3 hours and 20 minutes from Delhi to Chandigarh. Passengers will be able to reach Chandigarh from Delhi in just an hour and a half by Vande Bharat train. Similarly, it takes 6 hours to reach Amritsar from Shatabdi. The tour will also be completed in 5 hours by Vande Bharat train.
