Sandeep Kumar, Muzaffarpur: The murder case of businessman Govind Drolia has been exposed in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur. Neighboring shopkeeper Raju’s son Rahul and nephew Sumit committed the crime in a business competition. After Rahul’s arrest, police raided the BB Collegiate area late on Saturday night following Sumit’s arrest. Sumit opened fire on police. After which the police also retaliated.

Following the revelation, the police took action late at night
Accused Sumit was shot dead in the police action, after which he was apprehended. Arms smuggler Viswajit has also been arrested. Police have seized the bike and pistol used in the incident. After midnight, SSP Jayantkant interrogated Sumit who was admitted to Sadar Hospital. He also reached the BB Collegiate venue. According to police, Govind Drolia started a pan masala shop near MSKB College in Saraiyaganj a year ago. Earlier, Raju’s business was flourishing there. Raju’s business was slowing down due to Govind’s business. Raju’s son Rahul did not see this.

The accused therefore conspired to commit murder
According to police, Rahul then conspired with his cousin Sumit, a resident of Jehanabad Ghosi, to remove Govind from the road. Sumit lives in a rented house in Amgola. Raju’s family lives in Imamganj. Rahul and Sumit went to the house of Govind Drolia at Ajaji Marg Kurmi Tola on a bike bought 20-25 days ago. Sumit shot him. After this Sumit Indo ran on foot from the streets of Nepal.
Disclosure from CCTV footage and bike
After Sumit escaped, police got CCTV footage of Rahul running after him on his bike, which proved to be an important clue in the incident. Police arrested Raju’s son Rahul on Saturday night. He told police that the shooter was at BB College behind the house of Sumit Govind Drolia. Town SHO Anil Kumar along with a police team reached there at 11.30 pm to nab Sumit. He then fired.
SSP Jayant Kant gave information about the incident
SSP Jayant Kant, Town DSP Ramnaresh Paswan, DSP Siyaram Yadav, Town SHO Anil Kumar and Inspector Omprakash inspected the spot. Police have succeeded with bikes in busting Govind Drolia murder case. To a large extent, CCTV footage contributes to this. More than 200 CCTV cameras were checked by the police team. SSP Jayant Kant said Sumit was shot in retaliation and has been referred to SKMCH for treatment.
