Bhopal: The IMD (mp weather warning news) on Friday issued an “orange alert” amid lightning, hail and rain forecasts in 19 MP districts. IMD has also issued ‘Yellow Alert’ of moderate and dense fog at different places in Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Niwari, Chhatarpur and Tikamgarh districts. These warnings are in effect until Saturday morning. There may be hail along with rain in these places.

He said the Orange Alert is for Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Datia, Ashok Nagar, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Rajgarh, Agar Malwa, Vidisha, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Niwari, Damoh and Sagar districts. Senior meteorologist from IMD’s Bhopal office P.K. Saha said the cyclonic cycle was over Madhya Pradesh while the other cyclonic cycle was over South Pakistan and its adjoining southwestern Rajasthan. Due to which moisture is being maintained in Madhya Pradesh.

He said that cloudy skies are likely to prevail for two-three days, which will bring relief to the people from the cold. However, the minimum temperature in western Madhya Pradesh is expected to drop after three days and the cold is expected to increase. Saha said the lowest minimum temperature in Madhya Pradesh was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius in Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Bhopal were recorded at 25.6 and 11.3 degrees Celsius respectively, one more than normal.

At the same time, it was recorded at 25.8 and 12.5 degrees Celsius in Indore. Jabalpur had a maximum of 25.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 10.4 degrees Celsius. Gwalior had a maximum of 16.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.5 degrees Celsius.
