Sherry Boyd: Can I rate a -0- star. I would avoid using any place on the island that starts with Classic and has to do with automotive. They had my car for 3 1/2 months “waiting on a lift gate”. I ended up making one phone call after waiting 2 months and found a lift gate. It then took the another month and a half to get it installed. 2 days to detail and get an oil change. The detail was worthless, I had to get it detailed again due to all the dust and stains they left behind in the back seat. I am the only one driving my car. Rarely has anyone ridden in the back seat. But you would have thought differently if you would have seen it. Anyway…I didn’t request an oil change but they took it upon themselves to do it and which held me back yet another day. AND the paint job oh my lanta!!! It looks like an orange peel. The appearance it awful!!

Preston MARTIN: First off, I want to say I rarely leave reviews. I only go out of my way when someone is flat out rude to me. So here goes my review of classic collision in Galveston, TX. When I initially called, I was looking for a garage to fix my F350 tailgate and truck bed. Quick side note, this entire process could have been avoided if she had been more knowledgeable and up front about the situation. From my understanding, only specific body shops can work on aluminum frames, they are not one of them. If you need aluminum work done, just save yourself the time and go elsewhere. I recently found a garage in Fort Worth with a 5 star rating who turned my business down because they don’t work with aluminum and there are better options for those who need that work done. His words. However, they took on my project after informing me there was a two week waiting period to be seen. I told her I was traveling full time in an rv and that I needed to be kept up to date on the entire process.
This was not the case. I received extremely vague answers.

Example: “How long might it take to receive the parts once they are ordered?”
response: “It will be a while”

That’s no time frame at all. As someone who has to plan ahead for where they are going to be in the coming months, it was important I be able to try and navigate this issue with the front office. She was no help. I tried to take the truck in 2 weeks prior to my date, just to have someone estimate the damage done and parts needed(so we could order them before my appointment date). I was told no, to come back on my service date. IMO I think it would’ve been good for both myself and the business to knock this out. Its a quick and easy process.

After waiting the two weeks, I took my truck in only to be left in the dark until I reached out again. After dropping the truck off on a Monday, I was told on the following Thursday they would need an approved supplement from the insurance company. So I decided at this point it would be best to pick my truck up, pay my deductible as collateral, then wait for parts. After a follow up message the following Monday, only the preapproved parts had been ordered, because according to the woman in the front office, my insurance hadn’t approved the supplement yet. My claims worker reached out only to find that the woman at classic collision never sent out the supplement request, until I bugged her about it that day(she told me several times she would call me about different issues, literally never received a call from her). She was then extremely rude to my claims agent, as well as to me. I was nice to this woman despite her lack of willingness to work with me on pretty much anything. If you have all the time in the world, and love being talked to in a rude manor, this is your place. Otherwise, best to avoid it.
