Mumbai Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Sandeep Deshpande has opposed the demand for a memorial to the late Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar at Shivaji Park in Dadar. MNS said that Shivaji Park is a playground which should be used for activities like sports. Land should not be encroached upon by building a monument here. This ground should not be sacrificed for your politics.

Demand of Sharad Pawar
BJP leader and MLA Ram Kadam has also written a letter to Maha Vikas Aghadi convener Sharad Pawar to erect a memorial to Lata Didi. In which he has demanded that there are millions of people who love Lata Didi, who want her memorial to be built in Shivaji Park. In his letter, he has asked Pawar to take up the matter with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. So that the work of building a memorial site can begin.

Demand by writing a letter to Uddhav Thackeray
BJP MLA and spokesperson Ram Kadam has written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray demanding that the late Bharat Ratna Lata Didi be cremated. It should be a place of inspiration for the world. This demand is not only for me but also for millions of fans and music lovers.

What was written in the letter
In his letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Ram Kadam has demanded that the late Bharat Ratna Lata Didi be cremated at Shivaji Park with full state honors. For this reason, on behalf of millions of Lata Didi fans, music lovers and well wishers, my humble request is that a memorial of late Didi be erected at the same place in Shivaji Park. Where it merges into five elements.

Balasaheb Thackeray’s memorial site is in Shivaji Park
Lata Mangeshkar became the second person to be buried at Shivaji Park in Dadar after Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray. There were family ties between Bal Thackeray and Lata. The two had a lot of respect for each other. But who knew that Lataji would also be laid to rest at the same place where Bal Thackeray was buried on November 17, 2012. Lata Mangeshkar’s funeral was held at Shivaji Park, a short distance from where Bal Thackeray was buried.
