Janakilal’s son Hitesh said a stranger had filed an application in the name of my younger brother on January 18 at the district magistrate’s office with a false death certificate in my father’s name and a fake test report that he had been infected with the corona virus. . In this petition, stating that my father had died of an epidemic, Rs. An aid amount of Rs 50,000 was claimed.

He suspected that someone had done this to entrap his family in a fraud case. Hitesh said the matter came to light when a regional patwari called him and asked him to complete the formalities to get the assistance amount of Rs 50,000.

Additional District Magistrate Pawan Jain said an inquiry has been ordered based on Dungarwal’s complaint. “Based on the CCTV footage, we will try to find out who reached the district magistrate’s office on January 18 to apply for assistance to Dungarwal’s family,” he said. Once the person is identified, appropriate legal action will be taken against him, he added.

It is to be noted that the families who lost their lives during the second wave of Corona are given assistance of Rs. 50,000 by the state government. For this, the victim’s family has to apply to the collector’s office. This amount is given to the family after investigation by the tehsildar.
