New Delhi: Delhi University has started preparations for the admission process for the next semester. The Vice Chancellor of the University has prepared the team for admission for the academic session 2022-23. In addition, a committee has been formed for the admission of foreign students. The admission process for the next semester will begin this month with the registration of foreign students.

Prof. for admission of new academic session. Haneet Gandhi will be the Dean, Admission. Prof. Sanjeev Singh, Joint Director, Delhi University Computer Center, Joint Dean, Admission and Dr. Ajay Jaiswal, Joint Dean, has been appointed as Admission (Undergraduate) of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. Dr. Amit Pundir, Maharaja Agrasen College has been made Deputy Dean – Admission.

This year, there are major changes in the admission system in DU, for undergraduate courses, admission will be on the basis of merit instead of cutoff, admission will be on the basis of general entrance examination. DU has clarified that admission in undergraduate courses for the next semester will be based on Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or Delhi University Common Entrance Test (DUCET). In addition, from this session, UG will be four years old instead of three years. A draft UG curriculum framework has also been prepared for this.

Overseas Students: The window will open in February
In addition, an admission committee has been formed for the admission of foreign students in DU. Joint Dean, Foreign Students Pro. Amarjiv Lochan will be the chairman of the admission committee. Professor Amarjeev Loch said the admission process for foreign students would start in February. A meeting will be held soon for this. The admission process will be online. DU reserves 5% seats (supernumerary / extra) in UG, PG, PhD, Diploma courses for students studying abroad. Students do not need to be admitted.
