New Delhi: A total of 89 patients died in Delhi between January 13 and 15 due to Covid-19. Only 36 percent of them received both doses of the vaccine. According to official figures, a total of 438 patients have died due to Covid-19 between January 13 and 25. Of these, 94 were patients whose main cause of death was a virus infection.

According to the data, during this period, most of the patients who lost their lives due to Kovid-19 were suffering from kidney, cancer and other fatal diseases related to the lungs. A total of 2,503 samples underwent genome sequencing between January 1 and January 23, according to data provided by the Delhi government, of which 79 per cent samples confirmed the omicron form of corona virus.

The delta form of the destructive virus was confirmed in 13.70 percent of samples during the second severe wave of the Covid-19 epidemic. In the capital Delhi, corona cases have dropped by 42 per cent and the positivity rate has also come down to 9.5 per cent. On Wednesday, there were 7498 cases of corona, of which 4291 were reported on Thursday. Meanwhile, 34 people have been killed.

The health bulletin states that the number of active cases has dropped to 33,175 since the positivity rate dropped. Corona’s 1815 new cases have been reported in the capital and the total death toll has risen to 25744. According to the bulletin, Kovid’s recovery rate is 96.75 percent. The active case rate in Delhi is 1.82 per cent and the death rate is 1.42 per cent. In the last 24 hours, 9,397 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of healthy patients to 17,56,379. Currently, a total of 26,812 covid patients are being treated in home isolation. The number of coveted containment areas in the capital has also come down to 42,388.
