1. One teaspoon of neutron star weighs as much as Mount Everest
You must have heard about neutron stars. If not, know that a neutron star is a remnant formed by the gravitational collapse of a massive star after its supernova event. These stars are made up of only neutrons. Their size is very small but the force is very large. One teaspoon of a neutron star has a molecular density of about 6 billion tons. Or let’s say a spoonful of neutron star has the same density as Mount Everest on Earth.
2. Hawaii is growing 7.5 cm per year
Hawaii is moving closer to Alaska by 7.5 centimeters per year. This change in soil is caused by tectonic plates that are in constant motion, driven by rising and falling currents beneath them. Hawaii remains at the center of the Pacific Plate and due to this constant movement each year, Hawaii is slowly and steadily returning to Alaska on the North American platform.
3. Life without a head
Most women and children are afraid of cockroaches, but did you know that they are famous for their hard work in the world of science. Their circulatory system is open, so they can breathe through tiny holes located in every part of their body. Cockroaches do not rely on their mouths or heads for breathing. Therefore, even after beheading, cockroaches can live for a week or more. They die because without mouth they cannot drink water and die of thirst.
4. Metals that explode when exposed to air and water
Did you know that some metals explode when exposed to air and water? In fact, these metals oxidize very quickly when exposed to air because these metals are highly reactive. These metals include sodium, potassium, lithium, rubidium and cesium. Then, when these metals are immersed in water, they explode. These are all alkali metals and have only one electron in their outer orbit which causes them to easily leave these electrons and form bonds with other metals.
5. DNA is fire resistant
Recent research has shown that when DNA is coated with a cotton cloth, the genetic material found in DNA reduces the flammability of the fabric. This is because of the phosphate present in DNA, which becomes phosphoric acid when heated. It also acts as a fire retardant by replacing water. In fact nitrogen present in DNA produces ammonia which prevents combustion.

7. If the earth rotates, why is it not noticed?
Our earth is constantly rotating on its axis. It is not that we do not know the motion of the earth. The changing position of the sun during the day gives us an idea of the movement of the earth. We do not feel the rotation of the earth because the earth rotates at the same speed. The speed of an object is determined by the change in its speed. Due to the lack of change in the motion of the earth, we do not know about it. At the same time, our existence is less than the amount of particles on Earth.
8. We cannot detect odors while sleeping
Researchers at Brown University conducted an experiment in 2004 on 3 healthy men and 3 healthy women between the ages of 20 and 25. It was found that all the people woke up instantly due to the loud noise, but they were not affected by the stench. Which proves that we do not smell when we are asleep.
