Patna: A special CBI court in Ranchi on Tuesday convicted RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav in another fodder scam case. Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has lamented the absence of Lalu Yadav’s sons and wife during the court hearing. Lalu Yadav’s old friend Jitan Manjhi tweeted, “Lalu Yadav was sentenced. In any case, I am sorry to say that neither his son nor his wife was with him during these difficult times! Laluji’s sons are nowhere to be seen in the difficult times of the people of Bihar, at least the son should have been with his father today.

The BJP and the JDU said the fruit of action
The BJP and JDU are calling it its fruit. Lalu Prasad’s son and Leader of the Opposition Tejaswi Yadav appealed to RJD supporters not to be disappointed and said the order would go to the high court. After convicting Lalu Prasad in the fodder scam, Tejaswi said, “I am sure Lalu Prasad will definitely be acquitted.”

Tejaswi Yadav says- ‘Only poor man’s son goes to jail’
Tejaswi Yadav quipped that there has been only one scam in the country since the country became independent. No one sees so many scams happening in the country. So far only one leader has been convicted, only one face is shown repeatedly. He said the scam happened only once but the case was split, and the sentence was handed down several times. Tejaswi said that only the son of the poor goes to jail. He said that Lalu Yadav is the leader of the poor. He alleged that there were 80 scams in Bihar under Nitish Raj, but nowhere was the case. CBI, ED all act as cell of BJP.

Tejaswi Yadav said that Lalu Yadav was never a criminal in the people’s court. He told people not to despair. Here, BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi said that the conviction of Lalu Prasad in the fifth case of fodder scam also proves that he has grief for the millions of poor people of Bihar whose votes he took only for his family. Wealth abounded for seven generations.

He said that the high court was also bearing the brunt of their actions and the judiciary created by the lower human beings was also giving one adverse decision after another. He said that after the Rs.1000 crore fodder scam, the then Chief Minister Lalu Prasad had constituted a committee of inquiry of the same officials to cover up the matter.

JDU spokesperson and former minister Neeraj Kumar said that Lalu Prasad has already been convicted and it is a natural process to be convicted later. He has been in jail on corruption charges since 1997 and has been jailed seven times so far and is proposing for the eighth time. The judgment of the judiciary confirms that it is a crime to raise money illegally for family and family.
